CITB Funding Changes to Achievement Grants and the Large Employer Fund

Achievement grants for NVQs

The enhanced funding available for NVQs to support companies as their employees transitioned from Industry Accreditation (IA) CSCS cards ran to the end of December 2025. The achievement grant is now reduced to £600 for NVQs completed after the 31 December 2025. Level 7 NVQ qualifications are no longer supported by the achievement grant.

CSCS recommend that as all IA cards expired on 31 December 2024 and can’t be renewed, any remaining IA cardholders who need to complete an NVQ to retain a CSCS card should put a training plan in place with their employer without delay.

Large Employer Fund

From April 2026, large employers (250+people) can access a NEW Large Employer Fund for 12 months. £18,000 per employer will be available for in-scope training of the employers choice for the 26/27 financial year, paid upon receipt of evidence of training or receipt of a training plan.
